1. MAGYAR - MAGYARORSZÁGI KISEBBSÉGEK I. - ROMÁK
A Magyar Posta „Magyarországi kisebbségek” elnevezéssel új alkalmi bélyegsorozat kibocsátását kezdi meg. Az első címlet a magyarországi roma kisebbséget hagyományain és művészetén keresztül igyekszik bemutatni.
A bélyegkép középpontjában a zene és a tánc áll. A romák egyes csoportjai Magyarországon, de a Balkán-félszigeten, Spanyolországban és Észak-Afrika nagy részén is fontos szerepet töltöttek és töltenek be a zeneművészetben. A hivatásos roma zenészek a saját, illetve a környező népek népzenéjét, műzenéjét és dalait játsszák és éneklik sajátos roma stílus-ban.
A dinamikus hangvételű bélyegképen egy táncos, a háttérben zenekar és cimbalmos tűnik elő. A bélyeghez tartozó alkalmi borítékon rózsák, hegedű és táncoló pár látható. Az alkalmi bélyegzőn a roma zászló „életkerék” motívuma és a rózsa található.

2. ENGLISH - ETHNIC MINORITIES IN HUNGARY I. – ROMA
Magyar Posta is starting the issue of a new special series entitled “Ethnic Minorities in Hungary”.
The first stamp presents the Romany minority in Hungary through their traditions and art. The stamp focuses on music and dance. Groups of Gypsies have played and still play an important role in music in Hungary, the Balkans, Spain and many parts of North Africa. The dynamic stamp design is of a dancer with a band with a cimbalom player in the back-ground. On the first day cover for the stamp there are roses, a violin and a couple dancing. The special postmark depicts the motif of the Romany flag, the wheel of life, and a rose.
