1. MAGYAR - KÉPES KRÓNIKA
A Magyar Posta alkalmi bélyeget bocsát ki a Képes Krónika írásának 650. évfordulójához kapcsolódóan.
„Az Úr 1358. esztendejében, áldozócsütörtök nyolcadába eső kedden kezdtem ezt a krónikát a magyarok régi és legújabb cselekedeteiről, származásáról és …” – e szavakkal kezdődik a Képes Krónika, melynek szerzője feltehetően Kálti Márk, XIV. sz-i krónikaíró. A Ferencesrendi szerzetes, udvari pap, királynéi káplán, később a Buda külvárosi Szent Péter-templom plébánosa, majd a királyi kápolna őre, fehérvári és veszprémi kanonok, majd fehérvári őrkanonok a XIV. század közepéig dolgozott a királyi udvarban, kutatta és lejegyezte a történeteket. Ebből szerkesztette meg saját, magyar nyelvű, terjedelmes krónikáját, mely mára az Országos Széchényi Könyvtár féltett kincsévé vált.
A Képes Krónikát 147 miniatúra díszíti: tíz nagyobb kép az írástükör, huszonkilenc a hasáb szélességében, négy kisebb a lap alján, kerek medalionformában, 99 iniciáléba
foglalva és 5 iniciálé kép nélkül. Ezenkívül 82 lapon található lapszéldísz. Illuminátora feltehetően Hertul fia, Miklós volt. Vélhetően reprezentációs céllal készült, de befejezetlen maradt nem csak a szöveg, hanem az illusztráció is: többször kifestetlen a képeknek kihagyott hely.
Az ofszet- és aranyszínű fólianyomtatás kombinációjával nyomtatott bélyegképen az Országos Széchenyi Könyvtár gyűjteményében őrzött Képes Krónika részlete, a Géza királlyá koronázása c. fejezet díszes iniciáléja látható, melyen a legenda szerint Géza és László követik a szarvast, hogy templomhelyet válasszanak. Az alkalmi borítékon a Képes Krónika néhány részletének montázsa tűnik elő a bélyegző grafikáján a Képes Krónikát díszítő egyik grafikai elem stilizált rajza látható.

2. ENGLISH - ILLUMINATED CHRONICLE
Magyar Posta is issuing a special stamp to commemorate the 650th anniversary of the Hungarian Illuminated Chronicle.
“In the year of Our Lord 1356 on the Tuesday in the octave of Ascension I commenced this Chronicle of the old and more recent deeds, and the origin of the Hungarians…” With these words the Illuminated Chronicle begins, whose author is thought to be the 14th-century chronicler Mark of Kalt. The Franciscan monk, court priest, queen’s chaplain, later parish priest of St Peter’s outside Buda, then protector of the royal chapel, canon of Fehérvár and Veszprém, and lastly canon keeper of the seal of Fehérvár worked in the royal court until the mid 14th century, researching and making notes of events. From these he edited his own extensive chronicle in Hungarian, which today is a jealously guarded treasure of the National Széchényi Library.
The Illuminated Chronicle is adorned by 147 miniature illustrations: ten large pictures to the width of the text, twenty-nine to the width of the column, four smaller ones at the bottom of the page in the form of a round medallion, 99 as part of initials and 5 initials without a picture. In addition there are border decorations on 82 pages. The illuminator is thought to be Nicholas, son of Hertul. The Chronicle was presumably made for the purposes of representation, but both the text and the illustrations are incomplete with several blank spaces left for pictures. The stamp design was printed using a combination of offset and gold-coloured foil printing, and shows a detail of the Illuminated Chronicle, kept in the collection of the National Széchényi Library, the ornamental initial of the chapter on the coronation of Géza, which depicts the legendary scene of Géza and Ladislas following a deer to find a place for a church. On the first day cover there is a montage using a few details of the Illuminated Chronicle, while the design of the special postmark employs a stylised drawing of a graphic element illustrating the Illuminated Chronicle.

Die Ungarische Post ausgestellten Briefmarken für die gelegentliche schriftlich Illustrierte Chronik 650. im Zusammenhang mit dem Jubiläum.
"The Lord's 1358. Jahr, Christi Himmelfahrt nyolcadába Regen, der Dienstag begann in der Chronik des alten und die jüngsten Maßnahmen der Ungarn, und der Ursprung der ... "- diesen Worten beginnt die Illustrierte Chronik, von denen der Autor vermutet Kalt Mark XIV. Fall Nr. Chronist. Der Franziskanermönch, Straße Pfarrer, Kaplan der Königin, und später in der Umgebung von Buda, Pfarrer von St. Peter's Church, und die Hüterin der königlichen Kapelle, Székesfehérvár und Veszprém Kanon und Székesfehérvár őrkanonok XIV. Mitte des Jahrhunderts arbeitete er am königlichen Hof, recherchierte und schrieb die Geschichten. Es herausgegeben von seinen eigenen, der ungarischen Sprache, umfangreiche Chronik der Nationalbibliothek, die inzwischen zu einem wertvollen kincsévé.

und 5 enthalten Bild ohne Initialen. In Zusätzlich 82 Registerkarte lapszéldísz. Hertel Illuminátora wahrscheinlich sein Sohn, war Nikolaus. Vermutlich zur Unterhaltung produziert, aber unvollendet geblieben nicht nur Text, sondern auch als ein Beispiel: die Bilder immer wieder kifestetlen Raum.
Die Kombination von Offset-und Transparenz-Gold Stempel von der National Széchényi Sammlung Illustrierte Chronik gedruckt bewacht Einzelheiten der Krönung von König Geza C. Kapitel verzierten iniciáléja zu erkennen, die Legende, Géza Ladislaus und nach folgen die Hirsche wählen templomhelyet. Die gelegentliche Umschlag Illustrierte Chronik Montage einige der Details werden in der Grafik des Stempels kann Chronicle dekorativ stilisierten Zeichnung ein grafisches Element angezeigt wird.
